We have had complaints regarding the flying of drones over residential areas in Queensgate, so after a quick Google search these are common questions and answers, We do have a drone team in Lancashire who if needed can be called upon to precisely answer questions on the law and committing offences.

 

If you have a Drone please comply with the law as it stands or face prosecution.

If you know anyone who is flying a Drone please get them to read the laws and abide by them before we get involved, and possibly confiscated and fine !

You must register before flying most drones or model aircraft outdoors in the UK

Can I fly a drone in my garden in the UK?

Yes, you can fly a drone in your garden in the UK, as long as you follow the regulations set by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA)

What happens if you fly a drone without a license UK?

It is against the law to fly a drone or model aircraft without having the required IDs. You can also be fined for breaking the law when flying. In the most serious cases, you could be sent to prison.

Are you allowed to fly drones over people's houses?

The use of drones is strictly controlled and they should not be flown over built up areas without the permission of the Civil Aviation Authority

you may fly a drone over private property as long as these rules are followed: Drones must be flown below 400 feet altitude. You must keep the drone within visual line of sight
